Review of Club Jervis Bay
Club Jervis Bay is located right by the waterfront, offering scenic views and a relaxed bistro-style dining area. While the atmosphere is casual and the staff are friendly, the venue presents several challenges for visitors with mobility needs.
Disability Entrance: Yes
Entry is possible, but not ideal. There’s no automatic door, and while the entrance is technically accessible, maneuvering through the dining area is difficult due to tightly packed tables. On a busy day, navigating with a wheelchair would be nearly impossible.
Staff: Friendly and Welcoming
Staff were kind and attentive, which helped ease some of the physical challenges of the space.
Disability Toilet: Yes
There is an accessible toilet, but it’s tucked behind a wall between the male and female restrooms. From the dining area, it’s a bit of a hike to reach, and signage could be improved.
Food Options
The menu is varied but expensive. I opted for a kids meal to keep costs manageable. Food was okay—nothing standout, but service was prompt.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5)
Overall Thought
Club Jervis Bay has potential, especially with its friendly staff and great location. However, accessibility and layout need serious attention. The current setup makes it hard for wheelchair users to move freely, and the toilet location isn’t practical. I’d love to see the club take steps toward becoming a more inclusive space—open to feedback and ready to grow.
✨ With wider walkways between tables and a more thoughtful layout, access could be greatly improved—making the space more manageable and welcoming for everyone.
Club Jervis Bay has heart and potential. With a few tweaks, it could become a standout example of inclusive hospitality in the Basin. I’ll happily revisit and update this review if changes are made. 🌟
